good times and bad times
Sorrrriee for all the bugs and down time. 99% of them have been fixed. We're on really awesome servers. Our DNS has resolved. Its all finally falling into place. Thank you for being so patient and understanding.
We spoke to a couple of guys today. Zack from collegehumor, Mark from thefacebook, Brain from EVDB, Matt from villageventures etc. A lot of people who run very successful sites have offered us help and support. Its nice knowing there are people always out there who will look out for you in bad times. For example, during the first couple of days of launch, our database server died down on us. Michael (from bebo.com) out of the blue helped Prosper optimize it and make sure we could scale to a much larger user base. We've sent him some nice choclates :p
I was smoking Hooka with my house mates today and one of them remarked, ' Murti, if we were in the 1700s, i can so see you running a plantation with a fuck load of slaves'.

plantation hehe, funny
update on DNS: for most people, it has resolved. If the site doesn't load for you, you can either wait a few hours, or go directly to: 72.3.131.182
hey i already have an account on ivenster... but the internet says it doesnt exist anymore???
mbarr@bryant.edu
This is not funny! >:(
my bad, my bad. kiss and make up?
I still can't get to iventster. If I just go to iventster.com, I get a "Default Plesk Page." When I went directly to 72.3.131.182, and tried to log in, I got the following errror message:
Not Found
The requested URL /login.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.49 (Fedora) Server at www.iventster.com Port 80
Has the name been changed to ivenster? The only way I can get to my page is if I continue to change it to ivenster.com instead of iventster.
Its been fixed now. It should working :)
Don't know what world you're in, but on the East Coast of the US (read Jersey), the page is still not there. Same message as Brandon recorded...
i tried 72.3.131.182
and it loaded...
but when i try to sign in it wont... comes up saying it doesnt exist
The DNS propogation is taking much longer than we expect. I mean we got 150,000 hits yesterday so for most people it seems to be working. But yes, for some people it will take a couple of more hours. Try resetting your password, if it won't accept. During the third day of the launch, some people registered on a testing site. We shifted their accounts manually to the main database, but some got messed up. Sorrie for that.
just joined ivenster today.. looks cool.
